May is an Associate at the Urban Innovation Fund, a venture capital firm that invests in transformative urban technology. The fund provides seed capital and regulatory expertise to entrepreneurs solving our toughest urban challenges – helping them grow into tomorrow’s most valued companies. Previously, May served as a Director at Tumml, an urban ventures accelerator. During the last three years, Tumml has incubated 38 startups, which have created $190M in enterprise value and launched products and services for 3.6M people. Before Tumml, May worked as a strategy consultant at a boutique venture firm in Sydney, as an attorney at an international law firm, and as Deputy CEO at the world’s largest volunteer consultancy. May's writing on entrepreneurship has been featured in numerous press outlets, including TechCrunch, VentureBeat and The Stanford Social Innovation Review, among others. She earned her MPP from the Harvard Kennedy School and her economics and law degrees from the University of Sydney.
